I am really pissed off that you quit and gave up. You think you save when really you hurt and destroy. You are not a saint. Take responsibility and step up to the plate. You cause others hurt so that you do not suffer. You are one more person I am adding to the Karma will come around and get you list.
I never ever thought I would get an email telling me my biological father has passed. Please do not take that the wrong way as really I prefer email over the phone any day…I however love handwritten mail.
This is somewhat hard for me, he would be the closest family member to pass away. For those that know me know I just met him (1992) when I was 21. I have to say it was the best Thanksgiving I have ever had. I met family I never met, they took me in as if they had known me my entire life. It was the day I met my Father, the man who had a hand in creating me Patrick! I understood a lot after meeting him. I learned that day I was normal and that it was all genetic LOL. He was funny, strange and loving rolled all into a ball. He felt guilt for not being a part of my life, I told him it was ok as I did not hold a grudge and that on that this day we could move forward. It was hard as I was happy and torn. He was an alcoholic and I could see his life going to the wayside. I had trouble dealing with him being sorry all the time, so I put a wall between us…is this fair? I am not sure, I will not beat myself over the head. We met, we did get to learn about each other. He got to see his son grown up and that I hope he was proud. I was not proud that he let alcohol take over his life, he had a lot going for him but opted for drinking. I think that is what got the best of him. Even though we talked little I was glad to have met the man that gave me life. I wish you eternal happiness Tim Bunkers. I may have called you Tim but you were also a Dad that loved me.
Let the Mississippi carry you far and that wherever you are you are happy.
Love,
Patrick
10 Feet of 550# parachute cord.

Here at Blak.Deacon.Survival.Gear we think about _that_ day. You know the day. The one where you are sitting beside some creek that you do not recognize on a trail you thought was the one that took you back to your car/truck/moto/atv. Instead it only seems to be taking you closer to that spot where you are pretty sure you lost the mother grizzly..Now it looks like you may be here a little later than you expected to be, as in all night, and you know you gotta build that shelter you saw that guy on TV build that time…but you really do not remember exactly what vine or shred of tree bark he used to lash together his lean-to with when it hits you…that awesome, classically rugged looking bracelet you have on is actually 10+ foot of 550# paracord…
And another life saved…well ok lets face it, that scenario happens rarely if at all to your typical internet consumer, but the possibility is there. And this possibility is the reason behind the Boy Scout motto: “Be prepared.” Now true you are more likely to use the cord to tie down your skis after you dropped the bungee cord in the heavy snow fall. Or to help your brother-in-law move the mattress as “that guy” never remembers to buy any rope.
So the uses are many and varied, but here at Blak.Deacon.Survival.Gear the quality is not. Each hand woven item, whether it is a bracelet or a lanyard or a leash, is tested and proven to be of superior quality, so it will last you through all your adventures…epic and mundane…

The days when peopled thanked you for helping them?
I am not talking about friends and family so much as strangers. I guess when someone calls or wants you to call them due to wanting some help on an issue and you offer help, go out of your way to scan some documents and take time to email twice as you had the email wrong the first time they would give a simple thanks email back.
Nope not a word. This really makes me not want to help others, now the draw back is it now hurts those who would say thanks and be grateful. So I guess I will continue to help, people better wake up though, thank you is simple and it goes a long way.
While I am in a semi rant mood I shall go on this now…
I go to the movies to enjoy myself and do not mind the commercial stuff at the beginning prior to trailers then the movie. However I am tired of America cramming proud to be an American down my throat. I so do not enjoy sitting through a 3 minute music video about the red white and blue. I am proud yes. I served 4 years in the Navy and felt good about what I did. I also support the troops, the war I do not. I feel we are a great country, I do not like the cocky American attitude being shoved down my throat. Ever since 9/11 I have seen people who all of a sudden became patriotic. Take the suction cup flag off your car, it is an insult to the flag.
Stay tuned I am sure I can find other things that bug me LOL
